People ask me why I want to be on the Allen ISD Board of Trustees. I think this is an excellent question and my response is simple. I care about my kids, there quality of education and the quality of education we have in Allen. Allen is ranked #2 out of the school districts in Texas with over 20,000 students - fantastic and it should stay that way. Maybe, we can end up #1. I understand that the candidates running against me for Place 5 this year don't have kids in the Allen schools. I have 2 students in elementary school and one in middle school in Allen. It is important to me that they continue to receive the great education that Allen offers.
There are many people who have worked with me or know me in Allen. They know that I am reliable, honest, care for kids and work hard to achieve great results. I am passionate about education and have contributed to many programs that benefit students and parents in Allen. I have been the President of Allen Gifted for four years, a non-profit organization that has contributed to classroom education tools and put on programs for Allen students.
I am working as the Allen PTA SAGE Chair to put on a Kids 1st event on April 19th at Story Elementary School. It is open to all students and parents in Allen. It starts at 6:30PM.
I have worked on project Kids for the recent Bond recommendations and on the GATE Academy Exploratory Committee that will open in August of this year.
If you vote for me, I pledge to work as hard and smart as a Trustee as I have for the many other programs where I have volunteered.
The picture below was a recent Watchdog Day at my kids school - I have volunteered as a Watchdog many times each year and really enjoy the opportunity to be with my kids and to make a difference where can.
Thank You for your vote!

maintaining a high level of education that we in Allen have today.
